Title: Market Research Analyst

SUMMARY
This position is a key position in the business
development department and involves the identification,
qualification, and tracking of bid opportunities for
health care information consulting contracts, primarily
with state and local government throughout the United
States.
This position works in conjunction with
the Proposal Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Understanding
of State and local government purchasing and
procurements, policies, and procedures
-
In-depth
understanding of human services, public health, and
State Medicaid program administration
-
Requires
understanding of large scale information technology
opportunities
-
Knowledge of
government procurement practices is considered a
plus
-
Must be able to
work independently and use the Internet through Web
searches and government and private contracting
opportunity sites and services to identify and
pre-qualify quality, potential sole source and
competitive contract leads.

Must have some
direct inside marketing experience and understanding
of how to identify opportunities and determine
decision makers
-
Responsible for
monitoring and tracking opportunities company-wide
-
Responsible for
communicating opportunity updates and changes to
management company-wide
-
Must be able to
effectively build relationships with state
purchasing contacts through phone and e-mail
correspondence
-
Requires good
analytical skills and the ability to perform various
marketing support activities such as lead
generation, opportunity qualification, and
opportunity tracking, and proposal development
-
Must be a team
player
-
Must work well
with others in a fast-paced, small group setting, in
a widely dispersed organization
-
Should have
experience in creative methods of promotion,
particularly over the Web
-
Must be
detail-oriented and organized
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has
no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Requires advanced English
speaking skills with superior written and graphical
communications skill. Necessary to be able to read,
analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical
journals and legal documents.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY
Ability to work with
mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such
as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to
practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems
collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety
of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram
form and deal with several abstract and concrete
variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must be proficient in word
processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, database, contact
management, internet, and project management software,
as well as Visio.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must be fluent in all MS
office components including Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Visio, Outlook, and
CRM software is desirable.
Must have
familiarity with project management tools and
methodologies. Must have excellent communication,
problem-solving, and customer service skills.
