Project Planner
SUMMARY
Provides complex
project planning and management functions, supports the
Proposal Development process, and acts as an analytical
resource for special project management improvement
efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develop and maintain Project Work Plans(s) with the
Project Manager
-
Develop and maintain Project Work Breakdown
Structure(s) with Project Manager
-
Prepare preliminary project Work Plans for proposal
development
-
Participate in Facilities planning and coordination
(if necessary)
-
Assist in tracking project deliverables
-
Develop and maintain project performance tracking
and auditing processes
-
Develop and maintain project phase transition
tracking and planning processes
-
Provide Project extension/SOW modification planning
assistance
-
Assist in Standards compliance management and
external performance audit coordination
-
Develop and maintain project dashboards
-
Participate in project status reporting, including
P&L
-
Report on project risk and issue escalation
-
Perform special project analysis and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
include:
-
Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Project
-
Good writing
and oral communications skills
-
Ability to
think broadly about project management and
contribute suggestions for improving project
performance
-
Able to
function well in a team environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree
required, Master’s Degree preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read, analyze,
and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions
from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the
general public.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY
Ability to calculate
figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
commissions, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of
basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical
problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished
in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must
be proficient in word processing, spreadsheet,
accounting, payroll, e-mail and internet software.
