Policy & Procedure Development

FOX Systems, Inc. (FOX) has worked with HIPAA since 1996 and is one of the leading HIPAA consulting firms in the country. Since the inception of the rule, FOX has been developing automated tools that assess an organization’s readiness for HIPAA compliance. As the rules have developed from "proposed" to "final", FOX has updated and improved each tool.
HIPAA Total Solutions

FOX utilizes a suite of proprietary HIPAA assessment and compliance tools that are part of an approach to compliance known as the FOX HIPAA Compliance Services (FHCS®). FHCS® is a top-down, structured, phased approach to HIPAA assessment, planning, and compliance, and it ensures that analysis and implementation services for any of the HIPAA standards can be performed at any phase, independent of one another, while maintaining coordination and integration across standards. The FHCS® methodology maintains the traceability of specific HIPAA implementation and operational requirements back to the original rules.

The HIPAA regulations require that covered entities develop or revise policies and procedures to meet privacy and security mandates. In addition, these policies and procedures must be maintained, turning training, monitoring, and regularly scheduled reviews into key compliance activities.

FOX utilizes proprietary HIPAA Privacy and Security database tools to capture responses to Privacy and Security survey instruments, facilitate analysis of the responses, and generate reports to assess compliance readiness. The reports generated from these databases enable an organization to track gaps in compliance back to the relevant HIPAA rule,, and correlates the gap to the recommended solution for closing it. Where applicable, sample policy guidance language is linked to each identified gap. An optional component of the FHCS® methodology is a Policy and Procedure Review. When this component is utilized, FOX not only provides sample policy guidance for the identified gaps, but also for the corresponding existing policies and procedures that have been reviewed and assessed for HIPAA compliance.
