In the assessment phase,
organizational and user knowledge and ownership of the
business or technological change is assessed. This is
done through a series of information gathering
techniques, including focus groups, interviews, and
surveys. The feedback and options phase represents the
process where the analyzed and interpreted results of
the assessment phase are presented to top management and
client-designated stakeholders. The strategy development
phase operationalizes the findings from the assessment
and the feedback and options phases. Multiple strategies
are implemented and may be targeted toward various user
groups. The implementation phase is a step-by-step
progression toward achieving the desired outcomes of the
change. Finally, the evaluation phase measures the
implementation. Evaluation, in this sense, refers to
multiple evaluations (both summative and formative).
