Change Management

Change Management is an integral part of Business Process Improvement services for FOX Systems, Inc. (FOX). Change management may be thought of as the process of helping people and organizations to pass from existing methods of doing its work to new methods of doing its work.

Business Process Improvement

In healthcare, organizational change management is particularly challenging because, while it is an industry rich in tradition, it faces a constant barrage of changes in technology, governing laws, and knowledge. Cultural changes also impact healthcare organizations with regard to communication, knowledge and succession management planning, and information system implementation. FOX consultants take a holistic approach in working with clients to plan and manage change; from assisting in technology-driven workflow redesign to helping with the cultural and social aspects of business process improvement. FOX understands that there is no single change management strategy that can be utilized for every situation.

Therefore, a proven model is used as a framework to guide the FOX consulting team and the organization’s leaders through a five-phase process:

  • Phase One: Assessment

  • Phase Two: Feedback and options

  • Phase Three: Strategy development

  • Phase Four: Implementation

  • Phase Five: Evaluation

In the assessment phase, organizational and user knowledge and ownership of the business or technological change is assessed. This is done through a series of information gathering techniques, including focus groups, interviews, and surveys. The feedback and options phase represents the process where the analyzed and interpreted results of the assessment phase are presented to top management and client-designated stakeholders. The strategy development phase operationalizes the findings from the assessment and the feedback and options phases. Multiple strategies are implemented and may be targeted toward various user groups. The implementation phase is a step-by-step progression toward achieving the desired outcomes of the change. Finally, the evaluation phase measures the implementation. Evaluation, in this sense, refers to multiple evaluations (both summative and formative).
FOX offers its clients a pool of expertise covering a broad spectrum of services with regard to business process improvement, technological design, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), implementation and evaluation. If your organization is preparing for a significant organizational change (whether the change is technical, operational, or policy-related), FOX is the right partner for the job.
